BAYERISCHE-STR. 28, BERLIN

The building complex, built in 1907, heavily damaged in the Second World War and partially renovated in the 1950s, consisting of a 6-storey front and two rear courtyard buildings, will be completely renovated and modernized.

The top floor of the front building will be converted into 2 penthouse apartments.

Between the 2nd and 5th floors, the rear outer wall of the building will be moved outwards by approx. 2 meters. Balconies will be added in the inner courtyard and the entire rear façade will be characterized by a very filigree façade structure.

For the rear buildings in the inner courtyard, two new elevators are planned on the gable end to ensure disabled access to each residential unit.

New balconies and spiral staircases at the rear of the courtyard buildings represent modern, functional and contemporary architecture and also ensure escape and rescue routes in accordance with the approved fire protection concept.
