VILLA FRANK, GELTOW
Between 1928 and 1930, the spacious country house of Dr. Frank was built on the Franzensberg in Geltow, near the royal seat of Potsdam.
The architect Ernst Ludwig Freud, son of the famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, created this villa as an elongated, terraced building in the language of emerging modernism. Situated directly on the steep banks of Lake Schwielowsee, the south-facing building offers a sweeping view over the lake and the Havel landscape. The material and interior concept used in the renovation complements the historical spatial structure to create a prestigious form of living.
