PARKING GARAGE, ZOO LEIPZIG
On the way to the Leipzig Zoo, the parking garage often serves as the first stop for many visitors.
It marks the transition from the city to the zoo experience. Designed as an urban building block, the proposed structure integrates with the diverse development along the Parthenufer through its massing. The direct connection to the zoo is clearly defined by the building’s open design, the positioning of the main stair tower, and the resulting shared plaza. The parking garage features staggered levels with separate entry and exit ramps, maintaining a one-way traffic flow throughout. The project was awarded third place.
