OUTSOURCING OF THE LEGAL AND CONSULAR OFFICE OF THE GERMAN EMBASSY / TEHRAN, IRAN
At the end of 2019, the Legal and Consular Section of the German Embassy in Iran was relocated to a space of over 3,000 m², spread across six floors following a complete renovation and expansion of the building. This facility is one of Germany’s largest visa offices abroad and symbolizes the close relationship between the two countries.
The 3,000 m² area across six floors of a high-rise building in northern Tehran was fitted with all necessary functions, including newly constructed internal staircases and elevator systems. The entire access and security areas were reorganized. The entrance of the glass high-rise was enhanced with a custom architectural canopy, creating a prominent entrance. Significant trades were performed by Iranian companies.
The rear extension of the building was designed with a color scheme inspired by traditional Persian tiles, which is also reflected in many interior details.
Our office was responsible for the planning of all trades, including complete interior design and furnishings, and ensured ongoing presence on-site.
As the lead planner, our office successfully managed one of the most complex tasks currently undertaken, working under local conditions and with many Iranian specialist firms in a remarkably short timeframe.
