HOCHSCHULBIBLIOTHEK DER HTW, DRESDEN
As an internal university library and media center, the building serves as the interface for all institute, seminar, and laboratory buildings. This central function is reflected in the design by a spacious internal access corridor that connects to the surrounding streets. At the same time, this corridor is an integral part of the open space design, creating a three-dimensional plaza—the inner campus. The base of the building, housing the non-public areas, is constructed as a solid foundation.
