KITA BFC PREUSSEN, BERLIN

BFC Preussen recognizes significant development potential in the field of education and is actively working on establishing a Sports and Education Campus. As part of this initiative, a sports-oriented kindergarten will be introduced within the arena, featuring a gross floor area (GFA) of approximately 1,440 m² and a playground with a GFA of around 940 m².

The new kindergarten (KiTa) is designed across two levels and a semi-underground floor. The ground floor will house a nursery for 36 children, while the first floor will accommodate a kindergarten for 52 children. The semi-underground level will include dining areas, school administrative offices, and technical rooms. These floors will be connected by a central staircase and an elevator, ensuring easy access throughout the building. The semi-underground floor will also open onto a sunken terrace, which is connected to the outdoor area at ground level via external stairs and an accessible ramp.

On the first floor, the children’s rooms will open onto a spacious terrace, which will be connected to the playground below by external stairs and additional slides. South-facing rooms will be equipped with vertical sunshades to enhance comfort and energy efficiency. The building’s façade will feature vertical wooden panels, and large sliding doors will open to the outdoors, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. This vertical wood element will also be continued inside, particularly in the main staircase, contributing to a harmonious and warm overall appearance of the building.
