In addition to the general enhancement of the urban space by closing the construction gap, the planned buildings for the library and media center offer the university the opportunity to link existing functions through a central point. As a connecting hinge, the new ensemble ties together the northern and eastern parts of the university and creates a conceptual focal point for the previously loosely defined campus.
