KITA MÄUSELAND, FRANKLEBEN
The KiTa Mäuseland project includes the renovation of the existing daycare center to create a new nursery for 24 children, as well as the construction of a new building that will house an after-school program for 70 children and a kindergarten for 56 children. The combination of renovated and new facilities, connected by a central garden with pathways, creates a cohesive, inviting, and sustainable environment for children, promoting both education and play. Each group will have its own group room, sanitary area, and sleep/rest/homework room, with direct access to the outdoors to encourage interaction with nature. A key feature of the new building is the multifunctional space, which serves as a play area for children and a venue for afternoon activities and can also be rented for community events. The use of timber construction ensures cost and time efficiency, while the facade design with vertical wood panels integrates natural materials and is aesthetically pleasing, complementing the natural surroundings.
