In an MBWV appraisal process, an urban development concept was developed to close a gap on the edge of the market in Markranstadt.

The concept consisted of designing a building with a mixture of public and attractive residential uses without abandoning the urban character of the exposed location. In the urban planning context, the theme of gable-roofed houses was taken up again, but reinterpreted as a materially uniform building mass in the staggered building sections. The storey structure is visible on the façade through horizontally separating joints and floor-to-ceiling windows and is reinforced by inserts and extensions.
