Relocation of the Legal and Consular Office of the German Embassy in Tehran, Iran

At the end of 2019, the legal and consular office was handed over to the users and moved to the new premises. Following extensive planning reviews by the Federal Foreign Office, it was decided to relocate the Legal and Consular Office of the German Embassy in Iran to an external building for capacity reasons.
The newly opened visa office in Tehran is one of the largest facilities of its kind in Germany abroad and stands for the close relations between the two countries.
On more than 3,000 m², all functions, including newly built internal staircases and elevators, were accommodated over 6 floors of a high-rise building in the north of Tehran.

In addition to the planning preparations for all trades, our office ensured a permanent presence on site.

In May 2019, the German Ambassador Michael Klor-Berchtold visited the construction site of the German Embassy in Iran and met the chief planner and construction supervisor Anuschah Behzadi, who informed about the timetable for the construction of the new visa and consular section of the German Embassy in Tehran.
