Opening of the sports and leisure centre at Rabet, Leipzig
The sports and leisure hall at Rabet was officially opened on 15 April in the presence of Mayor Heiko Rosenthal and Minister of State Markus Ulbig.
As part of an appraisal process, the aim was to develop an appealing urban planning, architectural and functional solution for a planned three-field sports hall for school and club sports at the Rabet site in the east of Leipzig.
Our design was awarded 1st prize and the contract for further planning. Visitors enter the hall, which can be divided into three utilisation areas, via a central access area that opens up to the outdoor facilities of the Rabet. Mobile spectator galleries that can be moved into the wall extend the available space.
