"Preserving the charm of the old", Erfurt
The accommodation, classrooms and offices of the old Erfurt Party School are ready for occupation and, after one and a half years of renovation and conversion, will be ready for teaching at the new customs training campus from 14 February 2023.
The aim was to restore the original features that contribute to the flair of the buildings. This meant that the old parquet flooring on three floors, the GDR aesthetic and many historical details could be retained in large parts of the interior. A comprehensive refurbishment of the teaching rooms enables learning conditions in line with the latest standards. The rooms in the hall of residence also underwent extensive refurbishment without completely burying the charm of the 70s aesthetic. We would like to thank the heritage conservationist Mark Escherich and owner Andreas Müller for their successful collaboration!
