Velodrome: Construction work in full swing, Leipzig
The construction work on the Leipzig velodrome is in full swing. The first cracks have already been pricked open and need to be filled again. Furthermore, the road surface is sanded down and then a synthetic resin coating is applied. At the same time, the façades and escape routes will be renewed in a second construction project.
After many attempts, the Leipzig velodrome is finally being renovated. This will be done in two construction phases, on the one hand the road surface and on the other hand the fire protection reinforcement of the outer shell in order to be able to carry out events in addition to training. Completion is scheduled for 2021.
