Refurbishment of Leipzig's cycling track begins
The refurbishment of the road surface on Leipzig’s cycling track began in mid-February. In the coming weeks, the surface will first be milled off. A new hard-wearing synthetic resin coating will then be applied.
Following a nationwide tender, the 70-year-old track surface will now be renewed in 2021. The first training and competition rounds could be completed on the new track at the beginning of June.
