Work on the extensive renovation work at the Ambassador’s residence in Tokyo began on schedule at the beginning of this year.
After a short preparation period, in 2013 our office prepared the preliminary planning including the development of a functional specification for the executing Japanese companies.
On the basis of the specifications, a Japanese general planner was bound as part of a selection process.
B+ is now responsible for project control and management. Regular support and participation was provided within the framework of the implementation planning and construction supervision of the actual construction process on site in order to ensure compliance with formulated objectives.
In some areas, the implementation planning and on-site construction supervision were carried out by our office itself.
The renovation was completed on schedule in September 2014.
On the occasion of October 3, 2014, the ceremonial takeover of the property will take place by Ambassador Dr. von Werthern.
