Renovation of the Spandau Nord fire station, Berlin
In September 2013, renovation work began on the main building.
The office building of the Spandau Nord fire station, designed by architect Johannes Gluer, was built and put into operation between 1925 and 1926.
Today, the ensemble is a listed building. Behzadi + Partner Architekten BDA was commissioned with the step-by-step renovation of the historic building. The plans include the complete renovation of the roof of the side wing as well as the fire protection upgrade and renovation of the main building.
In August 2014, the building was handed over to the municipal fire brigade for use.
