Construction of a New Central Armory Building
At the Pionier-Kaserne site in Gera, the construction phase for the new central armory building has begun. The project is based on a decision by the Federal Minister of Defense and aims to meet the demand for specially secured storage space for security-relevant materials.
The building will feature four armories on two levels, along with storage and workshop areas for light maintenance tasks, repairs of communication devices, and electronics. The architecture of the new building will be characterized by a ventilated façade made of fiber cement panels.
