Albourz Caspian Fish Reproduction, Karaj- Iran

In the town of Karaj, located on the southern slopes of the Alburz Mountains, there has been a fish farm for salmon and trout since the 1930s.
The site is about 40 hectares in size and is structured by numerous water basins for breeding and sale.
Since around 2015, this facility and existing buildings have been gradually renovated and equipped with the latest water and laboratory equipment.
As part of the next expansion stage, the attractiveness of the location is to be gradually supplemented in combination with high-profile functions, such as exhibition areas on the history of fish farming, restaurants, offices, own fishing spots, etc.
The facility is to become an important base for regional tourism.
As part of initial spatial and functional considerations, implementation will be examined. Implementation is scheduled to begin in mid-2018.
