Residence of the German Ambassador in Madrid, Spain

The residence building of the German ambassador in Madrid was designed by the well-known Bavarian architect Alexander Freiherr von Branca and built in the late 1960s.
As an outstanding architectural masterpiece of its time and now a listed building, it needs to be extensively renovated and renewed after 55 years of use.

All areas of the technical building systems, fire protection, door and window systems, and security technology will be renewed.
Functional structures are being rearranged and structurally implemented due to changing requirements.

In December 2015, Behzadi + Partner Architekten BDA was commissioned by the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning, Bonn, to supervise and plan the complete renovation and conversion of the residence as part of a nationwide VOF selection process.
