Reopening of the Chancellery Building of the German Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal
In 2013, Behzadi + Partner Architekten BDA was commissioned as the general planner responsible for the planning and construction supervision of the renovation work at the German Embassy in Lisbon.
Construction began in August 2014.
The main focus of the planning was on a comprehensive fire protection renovation, accompanied by significant functional and energetic optimisation of the building.
After only 9 months of construction, the extensive renovation and modernisation work was ceremoniously reopened on 28 May 2015 in the presence of Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
