Renovation and fire protection upgrade of building 24 of the General-Olbricht-Kaserne completed, Leipzig
On behalf of the Saxon Real Estate and Construction Management, Building 24 in the General Olbricht Barracks was upgraded in terms of fire protection and energy efficiency.
The planning was based on the conceptual considerations for dealing with this part of the building, which were drawn up in 2011. Up to this point, the auditorium had been reduced by an existing suspended ceiling of approx. 3 m.
The main component of the measures now implemented was the unfolding of the auditorium, including the immediately adjacent entrance zone.
In the auditorium area, unnecessary timber constructions were removed in the roof space in connection with the clearance of the fire load and the dismantling, thus achieving a unique spatial effect.
On 15.06.2023 the handover to the user will take place.
