Castle tower takes shape, Lauterbach Castle
The almost 10 m high and 3 m wide tower construction for Lauterbach Castle has been enthroned on the roof of the stately castle again since November 2019. The reconstruction of the wooden structure, clad with titanium zinc sheet, was initiated as part of the 10th anniversary of the Friends of Park and Castle Lauterbach. For almost four years, the association had been working towards this moment.
North of Dresden, within a garden designed in the English landscape garden style, is Lauterbach Castle.
After extensive restoration work carried out between 2006 and 2014 by the municipality of Ebersbach together with the Förderverein Schloss und Park Lauterbach e.V., the historic ensemble was preserved and made accessible to the public for cultural purposes.
Now Lauterbach Castle has also been given back its former tower according to the historical model.
Shortly after the submission of the documents to the Meissen district building office, the citizens and the Förderverein Schloss und Park Lauterbach e.V. were pleased to receive the building permit for the new turret.
After successfully overcoming this hurdle by all parties involved, the next step is now to focus on financing the construction project.
