The Leipzig velodrome is being renovated
The almost 70-year-old track of the Leipzig velodrome is being renovated. Investments are also being made in fire protection and escape routes so that events with visitors can also be organised in the future.
Renovation work is scheduled to begin in February 2021 so that the first races can take place on the new track in summer 2021. The planned refurbishment will create better conditions and thus further develop cycling in and around Leipzig.
