Green light for Großstädteln residential neighbourhood, Markkleeberg
In the south of Markkleeberg, Reinbau GmbH is planning to develop a new residential area on two derelict plots belonging to the Protestant parishes of Markkleeberg-West and Großstädtlen-Großdeuben.
In consultation with the Markkleeberg town planning office and the project developer Reinbau GmbH, our office has developed an urban development concept for this.
After presenting the project to the Committee for Strategic Urban Development and Economics and the Technical Committee, the city council decided in March 2017 that a development plan should be drawn up for the area.
The aim of the development plan procedure is to create the legal planning conditions for the realisation of the residential area with the associated development and infrastructure as well as a new transport link between the residential areas in the south of Markkleeberg.
In June 2017, the Markleeberg city council passed the resolution to draw up the “Großstädteln residential neighbourhood” development plan at a public meeting of the city council, thereby giving its approval for the planned area to be built on.
